Lebanon's Prime Minister Nawaf Salam issued a statement saying Hezbollah's military and security activities are banned, hours after Israel responded to the Iran-linked group's rocket and drone attacks by launching air raids on southern Beirut. "We announce a ban on Hezbollah's military and security activities," the statement read. The Cabinet, in accordance with the Constitution, the National Accord Document, and the government's ministerial statement, rejected and condemned the rocket attack claimed by Hezbollah yesterday, which contradicts the principle that the decision of war and peace rests solely with the Lebanese state, and which also contradicts the rejection of dragging Lebanon into the ongoing regional war.
