3 day agoHezbollah Parliament Member Hassan Fadlallah tells Al-Mayadeen: The Lebanese government will not be able to force the implementation of the agreement signed in Washington unless it seeks a civil war, with U.S. support. What happened in Washington was an attempt to obstruct the Islamabad track, and without Hezbollah nothing will pass. Israelis should not be quick to rejoice over the Lebanese Authority's submission to their humiliating dictates. This gift by the Lebanese government to the Israeli will have no influence on the ground. Any measure taken by the government, we will block it and stick to our resistance and our weapons even more.
A framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel was signed at the U.S. State Department in Washington. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the deal follows talks in Washington and marks progress, but “much work” remains. Lebanon’s ambassador said the framework is a first step toward restoring Lebanese sovereignty.
